Structura Naturalis Inc. Award-Winning Planning and Design    Michael Mehaffy, president of Structura Naturalis Inc., has been designing, developing and managing projects since 1982. He studied architecture at the graduate school of The University of California at Berkeley, where he studied and worked with the architect Christopher Alexander, author of the design classic "A Pattern Language." He also studied business management and public affairs at the Graduate School of University of Texas at Austin, and music and the arts at California Institute of the Arts. For over five years he served as project manager of Orenco Station, a multiple award-winning $200 million new community in Portland, OR, where he was the master developer representative responsible for coordinating architecture, market research and strategy, budgeting, engineering, construction, leasing and marketing efforts. He also served as Director of Education for the Prince's Foundation in London, England, an architectural "think tank" founded and run by HRH The Prince of Wales. In addition to project management duties, Michael has designed and/or personally built many structures, from small cottages to $2 million estate homes, in many styles.
