Welcome to the site hub for the work of Michael W. Mehaffy
Buildings, urbanism, and research devoted to understanding—and creating—the patterns that make human environments livable, beautiful, and enduring.
Over more than four decades of practice, study, and teaching, Michael Mehaffy, Ph.D. has worked across multiple scales of the built environment: from cities and regions, to buildings and gardens, to the ideas and patterns that shape them, as a designer, builder and consultant.
Structura Naturalis Inc. brings these related strands of work together. (See below for links to each service.)
“In my view he is a truly exceptional person, deeply well-rounded in the practice of architecture. He is also a highly experienced professional, with considerable skill in dealing with clients; his honesty and pleasant manner, and willingness to listen carefully, are invaluable.“
